ABOUT US

Warrior’s Weekend XVIII will be held Oct. 11-13, 2024

For 18 years, Warrior's Weekend has been assisting combat wounded

veterans with a relaxing water therapy weekend in Port O'Connor, Texas.

We fly in about 100 combat wounded OIF/OEF while 150 transport themselves

by private vehicle.

The weekend is filled with a good ole South Texas Welcome with all the surrounding

towns waiving on the streets, shutting down highways, waiving big flags and

showing appreciation for what we all hold dear - OUR FREEDOM!

Friday night there is a fish fry including our boat captions, Saturday

morning a yummy taco and fruit breakfast as the heroes hit the water about 8:30 am on

approximately 200 boats. Weigh in is from 12:30 - 3:30pm down at Froggies Bait Dock.

Saturday night is the BBQ dinner with awards and poker tournament.

Sunday morning a full fledged breakfast at 8am and a big SEND OFF to our heroes.

* There are events throughout the year that takes a lot of manpower through volunteers that helps us raise funds, increase awareness, and make sure we are showing our appreciation to our heroes.  We would love for you to get involved!

Mission Statement

Founded in 2007, Warrior’s Weekend is a non-profit, 501 (c) 3 Corporation dedicated to the support of veterans of The United States of America with an emphasis on those wounded in The Global War on Terrorism. This is accomplished through holding an annual fishing event for wounded military personnel in May in Port O’Connor, Texas as well as donations to veterans and veterans-based causes.

Warrior’s Weekend XVIII will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024.

Those selected to attend this year will be traveling from all over the United States to arrive at the Warrior’s Weekend Field of Honor (4802 John Stockbauer, Victoria) at 1:30-1:45, Oct. 11th, 2024 for a presentation at 2pm. Please line the streets and highways if you can for a good ole South Texas Welcome.

Saturday morning troops will be at the big tent 7:00 for transport to the docks for fishing. Welcoming groups please arrive at the POC community center for rides on shuttles to cheer for the heroes arrival. Some troops will arrive Saturday morning around 8:30AM, by chartered buses from Brooke Army Medical Center, joining other wounded soldiers who arrived earlier from other military installations across the country.  After a grand welcome rally, they will immediately board their boats and begin fishing between 8:30 -9AM.  There will be a friendly competition with an official weigh-in and awards presented at a dinner that evening around 6:30 PM, accompanied by music and addresses by military dignitaries and from our heroes themselves.  Meal tickets are sold down at the dock as well as main tent on Friday for $15.

Sunday morning there is breakfast and send off about 9:30 am.

Join us in this, our 18th annual, to put into action the fact that you really support our troops!
